Job summary

Unified Theory, Inc. is seeking a Capital Project Manager to drive successful delivery of capital projects from inception to completion.

You will work with clients and cross-functional teams to bring complex manufacturing and industrial projects to life while building strong relationships. The role involves planning, budgeting, and control, with experience in FEL studies, scheduling and cost management, plus familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, SAP, and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Science from an accredited institution.
  • 4+ years in engineering, manufacturing, industrial operations, or other process-based industries with 1 year of project management experience.
  • Prior experience with industrial processes and equipment in a heavy industrial or advanced manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional capital projects from concept through final implementation.
  • Familiarity with engineering design and project management tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, SAP, Solidworks, NX or similar systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of assigned capital projects by managing FEL studies, project schedules, budgets, construction activities, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement competitive bidding strategies, including bid evaluation and contractor selection, to ensure cost-effective and high-quality project results.
  • Define equipment performance requirements and engineering design criteria to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Establish and maintain robust schedule and cost control processes, including forecasting, progress tracking, variance analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with project teams, site leadership, contractors, and stakeholders throughout all phases of project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, guidelines, and company requirements so that all designs and project activities meet regulatory, safety, and operational expectations.

As a Capital Project Manager, you will drive the successful delivery of capital projects from inception to completion. Working directly with clients and cross-functional teams, you will help bring complex manufacturing and industrial projects to life while building strong relationships along the way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and execution of assigned capital projects by managing Front End Loading (FEL) studies, project schedules, budgets, construction activities, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement competitive bidding strategies, including bid evaluation and contractor selection, to ensure cost-effective and high-quality project results.
  • Define equipment performance requirements and engineering design criteria to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, the following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • 4+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, industrial operations, or other process-based industries with 1 year of project management experience
  • Prior experience with industrial processes and equipment in a heavy industrial or advanced manufacturing sector
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional capital projects from concept through final implementation
  • Familiarity with engineering design and project management tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, SAP, Solidworks, NX or similar systems
  • This role may require up to 25% travel.

For Minnesota residents: The pay range for this position is $82,000-$115,000 (with flexibility DOQ). The range displayed on this job posting reflects salaries for the position based in our Minnesota location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by specific work location and additional factors, including education, experience, credentials, and job-related skills.
