Great opportunity for a Project Manager to work for a US building products leader in a remote role with site-to-site travel primarily in the SE and Midwest.

Our client is a cement material manufacturer seeking a Project Manager to lead site projects ranging from $2 million equipment installations to $250 million greenfield site builds at multiple locations across the US, from initiation through completion.

Responsibilities

1. Apply Project Management principles and the Capital Project Management SOP to ensure successful project execution and delivery that meet customer requirements and deliver business benefits.
2. Monitor and control all project aspects to achieve optimal outcomes for the company.
3. Continuously seek to improve project performance and results.
4. Collaborate regularly with the Project Sponsor to ensure business and project needs are met.
5. Promote safe work practices and ensure adherence to relevant OH&S management systems, processes, and behaviors.
6. Manage project scope effectively to meet customer requirements and business cases, actively preventing scope creep and de-scoping decisions that could diminish project benefits.
7. Maintain and update project schedules to reflect actual progress, identify schedule issues early, and implement corrective actions.
8. Monitor project costs using standard cost management tools, address emerging cost issues, and implement corrective measures.
9. Manage project risks proactively throughout the project lifecycle.
10. Document lessons learned and share insights with the broader organization.
11. Travel requirement: approximately 50%.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
2. At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
3. PMP certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
