Job summary

FITS LLC in Puerto Rico is seeking a Project Manager for Capital Projects to lead regulated projects from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with codes, safety, and auditing requirements while coordinating field teams and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of project management experience, is bilingual (English/Spanish), can prepare reports, monitor budgets and schedules, perform site inspections, and drive timely, high-quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 5+ years PM in regulated industry.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with documentation, change controls, business cases, scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Survey the area for environmental issues or codes.
  • Prepare reports before a job starts and consult with project stakeholders.
  • Understand building codes, laws, and regulations affecting projects.
  • Demonstrate strong cost estimation and budget management.
  • Perform daily site inspections, monitor, and issue permits.
  • Monitor tests for sewage, drainage or elevation, materials and equipment.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor labor costs.
  • Fully supervise a job to completion within budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Communicate effectively; demonstrate leadership and teamwork.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ensure project safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Submit daily and weekly progress reports.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least five (5) years of experience in Project Management activities within the regulated industry.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish).
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Shift: Administrative and according to business needs.
  • Experience in:
    • Project Management skills.
    • All project stages: developing documentation, change controls, business cases, scheduling, etc.

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)
  • Survey the area where the job is to take place, paying special attention to environmental issues or government codes that need to be considered.
  • Before a job starts, prepare reports on their findings and consult with others who have a hand in the project.
  • Need to have a strong understanding of building codes, laws and regulations that might affect their projects.
  • Demonstrate great understating of cost estimate and determine the total cost of a project.
  • Perform daily site inspections, monitor, and provide work permits.
  • Monitor all applicable system tests regarding sewage, drainage or elevation levels, Materials and Equipment.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor labor costs.
  • Fully accountable and responsible for supervising a job to its completion while paying special attention to the allotted budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Must effectively communicate, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Need to pay meticulous attention to detail, must have strong analytical, math and problem-solving skills.
  • Assure Project Safety and Compliance requirements are met.
  • Submit daily and weekly progress reports.
