Job summary

FITS LLC in Puerto Rico is seeking a senior Capital Projects Manager with a strong pharmaceutical background to lead GMP-compliant projects, especially for Oral Solid Dosage facilities and packaging lines. You will manage scope, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communications, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and quality to deliver on-time, compliant results.

Fluent in Spanish and English, you’ll liaise with international teams and vendors while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering and at least 7–8 years managing capital projects in the pharmaceutical industry with GMP delivery.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English with good communications.
• Experience with GMP project delivery in pharma.
• Experience with RFP processes and design firms’ management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, implementation, monitoring, completion, and follow-up of projects.
• Ensure activities comply with domestic and international regulatory requirements and guidelines.
• Anticipate and communicate resource needs to management and sponsors.
• Evaluate issues and develop solutions to meet scientific, productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals.
• Provide technical and organizational support by researching issues and maintaining archives.
• Identify and anticipate schedule delays and analyze cost/resource impacts.
• Implement tools and processes to enable informed decision-making within project teams.
• Ensure all project work complies with company SOPs.

The Technical Part:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering and at least seven (8) years of previous exposure managing capital projects in the pharmaceutical industry; experienced with RFP process, design firms’ management; experience with manufacturing, packaging processes and equipment, clean rooms design and facilities improvements; proven GMP project delivery experience.
• Bilingual: Spanish and English (good communications).

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in:
• At least eight(8) years of experience managing capital projects within the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) manufacturing.
• Experience supporting OSD manufacturing processes including granulation, blending, compression, coating, encapsulation, packaging, and material handling systems.
• Experience managing equipment installation, facility upgrades, manufacturing process improvements, and technology transfer projects.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.

• Decision Support: Implement tools, techniques, and processes to generate information that enables informed decision-making within project teams.
• Compliance with Standards: Ensure all project work complies with company practices, policies, and standard operating procedures.
