Position Overview

The Project Manager will oversee the successful delivery of large-scale building facilities and construction projects.

District Overview

Kiewit Building Group specializes in constructing various facilities including office buildings, industrial complexes, educational and sports facilities, hotels, hospitals, transportation terminals, science and technology facilities, manufacturing, retail, and interior construction with tenant improvements. The company offers general construction, construction management, design-build, design-assist, and turn-key project development services. Over the past 10 years, Kiewit has completed more than 1,100 vertical construction projects with a total revenue of $7.5 billion.

Location

This position is based in Omaha, NE. Willingness to travel and/or relocate is required.

Responsibilities
  • Drive business growth by expanding service offerings within existing clients.
  • Promote communication with clients and foster a client partner culture in collaboration with the business development team.
  • Sponsor business development pursuits, key partnerships, and strategy initiatives, including proposal and estimate reviews.
  • Monitor project performance using predefined metrics such as progress, financial health, schedule adherence, risks, opportunities, and claims.
  • Collaborate with 'Get Work' teams and other departments to showcase the company's capabilities.
  • Manage project financials, revenue, and profitability.
  • Contribute to business planning and market strategy development.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in large vertical building projects in construction, estimating, design, operations, or development.
  • At least 5 years of management experience leading construction teams or developing business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards relevant to vertical building industry.
  • Proven client relationship management skills.
  • Motivated and proactive with a passion for excellence.
