Job summary

Mayta + Sebastian Architecture D.P.C. in New York seeks a Project Manager to lead and support building envelope restoration, inspection, and construction administration. You will manage field surveys, documentation, coordination, and client communication from start to closeout.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in NYC envelope/restoration, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Trello, and BIM workflows. Hybrid work is available after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in NYC building envelope, restoration, façade, FISP, forensic, or construction administration work.
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
• Experience with contractor coordination, submittals/RFIs, site documentation, and active CA projects.
• Strong comfort with fast-paced project tracking and follow-up.
• Familiarity with NYC codes, DOB-related coordination, and restoration workflows preferred.
• Bluebeam, Excel, Word, and project-management software proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple active projects with leadership support while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Communicate with clients to define project scope, budget, priorities, and expectations.
• Lead site visits, building inspections, and field surveys to document conditions and progress.
• Prepare, develop, and coordinate construction documents for restoration, repair, and alteration projects.
• Support façade restoration, exterior rehabilitation, historic preservation, and related workflows.
• Review submittals and RFIs, and communicate design intent clearly.
