Job summary

Surface Design Group in New York City seeks a Sr. Façade Consultant / Project Manager to lead Local Law 11/FISP inspections and manage façade restoration projects from investigation through close-out, serving as the primary contact for clients and contractors.

You will coordinate with NYC DOB, prepare repair documents, supervise remedial work, and advise owners on compliance, budgets, and deadlines. This on-site role requires 5+ years of PM experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of independent project management in architecture, façade restoration, or building envelope projects.
• Hands-on Local Law 11/FISP experience with inspections and reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large façade and building envelope projects from planning through close-out.
• Perform Local Law 11/FISP inspections and condition assessments, including scaffold inspections and documentation of conditions.
• Prepare FISP reports and coordinate filings with NYC DOB; develop repair documents and oversee remediation work.
• Advise owners on façade compliance, deadlines, and repair priorities and budgets.
• Oversee design and production of construction drawings and specifications, including AutoCAD detailing.
