Job summary

Audio Video Excellence is seeking a Project Manager (AV, Lighting, Shading, Control) in Scottsdale, AZ. You will manage projects from proposal through completion, lead on-site teams, coordinate with clients and trades, and ensure designs meet SOW, plans, and budget.

You are hands-on, field‑oriented, and curious about how systems work. Experience across rough/trim/final phases and a strong, calm communicator is essential for success on multi‑discipline projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, field‑oriented, eager to learn and grow.
• Experience on construction sites as a Project Manager in AV/LV with knowledge of rough/trim/final phases.
• Stable work history and high EQ.

Responsibilities

• Receive complete proposals and scope; understand, deliver, troubleshoot as needed.
• Coordinate with client, in‑house staff, other trades, GC, architect, and reps.
• Help create engineering docs for new construction projects.
• Plan and schedule projects; allocate resources proactively.
• Monitor project profitability; keep hours at or below budgeted hours.
• Issue and coordinate work orders; ensure quality control.
• Read, interpret, and distribute plan sets/blueprints.
• Create and submit change orders; obtain approvals and payments.
• Work on construction sites with situational awareness.

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 / year

Description

You Are:

• A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands‑on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work.

You Have:

• Experience on construction sites as a Project Manager in AV/LV. Knowledge of the built environment and experience with all three phases of implementation (Rough/Trim/Final). A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, High EQ.

Location:

• Our Office: 7500 E Pinnacle Peak Rd Suite H-121, Scottsdale, AZ 85255
• Projects are located in the surrounding area

Schedule:

• Full Time (40hrs/Wk) - We do not short your hours!!!
• Mon-Fri: 7:30am-4:30pm

Your Contribution to Audio Video Excellence:

• Primary Point of Contact: Client, In-House Staff, Other Trades, GC, Architect, Rep
• Scope of Work: Receive complete proposals and scope; understand, deliver, troubleshoot as needed
• Engineering Documents: Help create engineering docs for new construction projects
• Project Timeline/Scheduling: Planning, Proactive, Aligned to Resources
• Project Profitability: Keep actual hours at/below budgeted hours, remove redundancy and errors
• Work Orders: Issue to team, coordinate with third parties
• Quality Control: Ensure all work meets SOW, Plans, Company Standards, Client Expectations
• Plan sets/Blueprints: Read, interpret, manifest, mark‑up, distribute to team
• Change Orders: Create, submit, get approval, confirm payment, execute
• Environment: Work on construction sites with situational awareness

Audio Video Excellence's Contribution to You:

• $80k/year base - Yup!
