Job summary

TAI seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead automation and controls projects from concept through commissioning in the Maryland area. You will act as the primary liaison between clients and engineering teams, guiding scope, schedules, and budgets while delivering high-quality technical results.

You will supervise multi-discipline teams, apply industry codes, and drive project performance with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or PMP is a plus.
• Minimum five years of consultant experience.
• Experience with industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or food & beverage facilities.
• Experience self-performing controls engineering for design projects.
• Knowledge of NEC, ISA, UL, NFPA codes and electrical classifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex industrial automation projects from concept through commissioning.
• Coordinate project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables with clients and engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, manage invoices and change orders.
• Serve as main client liaison and ensure project quality and scope compliance.
• Direct and review work of design teams and CAD designers for construction drawings.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines and prepare design deliverables.
