Job summary

Indiana Department Of Transportation (INDOT) Fort Wayne is seeking a Project Manager Associate to oversee a sizeable project portfolio (approx. 70 projects) and support timely delivery of the Fort Wayne Capital Program.

The role requires strong communication with internal and external stakeholders, organizational skills, and a working understanding of basic computer skills. Candidates may have experience with public-sector processes and project management essentials.

Qualifications

• Ability to articulate or demonstrate stakeholder communication
• Ability to manage project portfolio with moderate complexity and dollar value
• Ability to plan project scope and schedule
• Ability to establish and manage project budget and financial implications
• Specialized knowledge of project delivery standards in rural, suburban and urban areas
• Experience with Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project teams through all phases of planning, execution and closeout to meet scope, schedule and budget
• Ensure quality, financial and risk management expectations are met
• Review progress and performance on projects
• Communicate project delivery efforts to stakeholders for success
• Understand functional requirements (ROW, environmental, design, utility) for clear expectations
• Foster cross-functional engagement with design and construction
