The State of Indiana seeks a Project Manager Associate to oversee a sizeable portfolio (≈70 projects) for the INDOT Fort Wayne Capital Program, coordinating with SMEs and other PMs to ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.

The role emphasizes stakeholder communication, flexible adaptability, and alignment with agency values. A degree is not required; 4+ years PM experience suitable.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage projects of low to moderate complexity and dollar value, generally under $5.0 million.
• Clear and concise communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to plan project scope and schedule per the development process.
• Ability to establish and manage project budgets and financial implications.
• Knowledge of rural, suburban and urban project standards.
• Experience with Uniform Relocation and Real Property Acquisition Act requirements.
• Experience managing environmental documents at an advanced level.
• Understanding of medium-level permit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage project team through all phases of planning, execution, and closeout to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Complete the scope of work ensuring quality, financial, risk and policy expectations are met.
• Review overall progress and technical performance on the project.
• Communicate efforts during project delivery to ensure project success.
• Review and understand functional requirements to set clear expectations and workloads.
• Facilitate cross-functional engagement with design and construction.
