Description:

Project Manager - Architecture and Engineering

As Project Manager for Architecture/Engineering at NYP, you'll develop, implement, and administer capital projects as designated by management and/or Senior Leadership. You will be responsible for developing and managing project scope, design, costs, and schedules. This includes collaborating with Facilities senior management, user groups, design consultants, construction managers, outside agencies, Bio-Med, Safety, Infection Control, IS, CAPM, OCE, OFO, and others to develop project scope, design teams, schedules, and budgets. You will obtain necessary sign-offs, keep projects on budget and schedule with minimal supervision, and present facility/space issues and proposals to end users and senior management for informed decision-making. You will lead groups with diverse needs to reach consensus on capital issues, coordinate document preparation for Certificate of Need Applications on Article 28 projects, and manage project budgets and schedules, reporting variances and strategies to realign with baselines. Regular communication with department heads, staff, consultants, contractors, and outside agencies is essential for successful project completion. You will supervise and evaluate architectural/engineering activities and lead project workgroup meetings, facilitating discussions, identifying action items, and securing additional resources as needed.

This is a full-time position overseeing projects throughout the NYP Enterprise.

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Design and Construction
  • 6+ years of directly related experience in healthcare design, construction, or engineering
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Project Management Information Systems

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience in more than one area (healthcare design, construction, engineering)

$149,500-$206,500/Annual
