Project Manager / Estimator

Location: Elk River, MN

Compensation: $100,000 to $150,000 base salary, plus high bonus potential

We are a well-established heavy civil construction company operating throughout the Midwestern United States. Our focus includes Earthwork, Demolition, Utilities, and Specialty Contracting for both public and private sectors.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager / Estimator to join our growing team. This is a full-time, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering successful, profitable projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all phases of heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
2. Prepare detailed cost estimates and project proposals for public and private sector bids
3. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and cost
4. Collaborate with field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution
5. Track project budgets, schedules, and progress, ensuring projects remain on time and within budget
6. Conduct site visits to assess project needs and progress
7. Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle
8. Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, including estimating and project management
2. Proven experience in Earthwork, Demolition, Utilities, or similar scopes of work
3. Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and project sequencing
4. Proficiency with estimating and project management software
5. Excellent communication and organizational skills
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
7. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
