Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group seeks a Project Manager to lead capital projects across pharma, biotech, and industrial sectors. You will coordinate design development, manage budgets and schedules, and collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will work within our Architecture/Engineering Practice, coordinating with senior leaders and subject matter experts to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of project management and engineering experience executing capital projects, including design development and coordination, cost estimation, budget management, change control, plan checks, permits, and construction documents.
• Experience with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device projects is preferred.
• Broad knowledge of civil/site, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical systems.
• Ability to present to clients, manage relationships, and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility MEP design-build and design/bid/build projects for pharma, biotech, advanced technology, food & beverage, and industrial operations.
• Lead project execution and design through the full life cycle from concept to start-up.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and contract documents; oversee budgets, timelines, and scope changes.
• Coordinate with AHJs, site teams, and clients to ensure constructability and compliance.
• Develop proposals and support sales presentations.
