You will guide master planning, concept studies, and regulatory alignment while coordinating with engineers and clients to deliver scalable, compliant plant designs.

Qualifications

• 20 years of facilities architectural design experience including programming, construction documents, permits, and site implementation.
• Ability to design cGMP manufacturing and lab facilities.
• Experience leading front-end design phases (master planning, feasibility study, conceptual design).
• Understanding of operating facility requirements, layouts, environmental classifications, and regulatory interpretations.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes (IBC).
• Experience designing ISO clean rooms, labs, and processing spaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end design programming for pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing facilities including site survey, space programming, equipment evaluation, and economic analyses.
• Perform technical business development activities: capabilities presentations, proposal development, publications, and conference appearances.
• Provide technical leadership in life science project design from inception to drawings and specifications for construction.
• Develop facility master plans and long-term capital roadmaps aligned with growth and technology adoption.
• Coordinate design with process engineers for production equipment installation and integration.
• Oversee designers and mentor technical professionals and build client relationships.
