Ladders is seeking a Project Manager 2 - Substation & Transmission to manage complex transmission, substation, and distribution projects from planning through closeout. Remote work is available for US-based candidates.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, and drive accountability to meet safety, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. Domestic travel of 10–25% is expected.

For our client, we are seeking a Project Manager 2 - Substation & Transmission to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space.

This role will oversee the execution of complex transmission, substation, and distribution projects from planning through closeout. The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, and drive accountability to keep work aligned with safety, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

The position also serves as a key liaison between internal teams and stakeholders, helping ensure strong communication, effective contract administration, and successful delivery of capital projects.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $134,546 – $205,557 annually

Responsibilities

• Manage execution of transmission, substation, and distribution projects
• Oversee contract administration, planning, and resource management
• Ensure project performance meets safety, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction requirements
• Lead all phases of the project life cycle from planning to closeout
• Direct the project team, ensuring accountability and mentorship
• Foster positive relationships with client stakeholders

Qualifications

• 12+ years of project management experience within utility, construction, engineering, or similar fields
• Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
• Expertise in capital project management
• Background in the energy, power, or utility sector
• Experience serving as a firm/client liaison
• Strong multitasking abilities to handle competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative team player
• High school diploma or GED required
• Willingness for 10-25% domestic travel
