Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Project Manager to lead a PMO Transformation initiative. This full-time, 100% remote role requires hands-on leadership to own client engagements, drive accountability, and deliver across a portfolio of consulting and technology projects in cybersecurity, compliance, risk management, cloud services, and advisory consulting.

• Experience managing projects from planning through closeout.

• Certifications preferred but not required (PMP/Agile/A Scrum).

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Project Manager to support a PMO Transformation initiative. This position is a full-time role that will be 100% remote. As our organization continues to centralize and mature its Project Management Office, we are seeking a hands‑on project leader who can independently own client engagements, drive accountability, and ensure successful delivery across a portfolio of consulting and technology projects. This role is focused on managing customer‑facing engagements across areas such as cybersecurity, compliance, risk management, cloud services, and advisory consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 5-7 concurrent client engagements.
• Review Statements of Work (SOWs), project scope, assumptions, milestones, deliverables, and contractual commitments.
• Take ownership of existing engagements and quickly establish an understanding of project status, outstanding deliverables, risks, dependencies, and next steps.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, action items, and supporting project documentation.
• Lead internal project meetings and recurring client‑facing status calls.
• Track progress against project scope, schedule, milestones, budgets, staffing requirements, and deliverables.
• Proactively identify and elevate project risks, delays, resource constraints, scope concerns, and customer satisfaction issues.
• Coordinate technical and consulting resources across multiple project workstreams.
• Monitor project budgets and resource utilization to identify potential overruns or delivery concerns.
• Manage dependencies and remove or elevate blockers affecting project delivery.
• Maintain clear communication between customers, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Document and distribute meeting notes, decisions, action items, risks, and next steps.
• Support project governance, change management, risk reviews, and customer reporting.
• Coordinate project closeout activities, customer acceptance, handoffs, retrospectives, and lessons learned.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with customer expectations while protecting schedule, scope, budget, quality, and overall customer experience.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience independently managing projects from planning through execution and closeout.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or client engagements.
• Strong client‑facing experience, including leading customer meetings and project status calls.
• Experience working with Statements of Work (SOWs) and translating contractual requirements into actionable project plans.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.
• Experience tracking project budgets, resource hours, forecasts, or other financial aspects of project delivery.
• Ability to inherit existing projects, assess current status, identify risks and gaps, and establish a clear path toward successful delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional customer‑facing presence.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize across multiple simultaneous engagements.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently in ambiguous or evolving environments.
• Experience supporting consulting, compliance, cybersecurity, cloud, risk, or professional services engagements is highly preferred.
• PMP, Agile, Scrum, or other project management certifications are preferred but not required.

Compensation to include:

Salary Range: $115,000 - $145,000 depending on experience
