Job summary

Sonata Software North America Inc. in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Data Analytics, BI, GenAI, ML initiatives and AI-driven transformation across the enterprise.

You will manage end-to-end project execution, stakeholder communication, resource planning, risk management and value realization while ensuring AI governance and strong delivery across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or SAFe certifications preferred.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, GenAI, Machine Learning, and AI-driven transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end project execution, stakeholder communication, resource planning, risk management, and value realization while driving successful adoption of data and AI solutions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Program Management

• Lead multiple Data Analytics and AI projects from initiation to production deployment.
• Drive project planning, scope management, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Establish governance, risk management, and status reporting mechanisms.
• Ensure timely delivery with high quality and customer satisfaction.
• Manage delivery of BI and Analytics solutions using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs, reporting requirements, and data strategies.
• Oversee data modeling, visualization, dashboard development, and reporting initiatives.

AI & GenAI Initiatives

• Lead AI/GenAI programs involving Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Services, OpenAI, Machine Learning, and Automation solutions.
• Identify AI use cases, define business value, and drive implementation roadmaps.
• Monitor AI adoption metrics, ROI, productivity gains, and business outcomes.
• Ensure AI governance, compliance, security, and responsible AI practices.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary contact for business leaders, and executive stakeholders.
• Present project status, risks, achievements, and value realization metrics.
• Drive customer engagement and build strong relationships across business and technology teams.
• Manage cross-functional teams comprising Data Engineers, BI Developers, Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Business Analysts, and Architects.
• Mentor team members and promote Agile delivery practices.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
