Job summary

Green Key Resources partners with a Nashville-based General Contractor to identify a Project Manager for a growing team. The role oversees commercial projects from preconstruction to closeout and coordinates with owners, architects, and subs to deliver on schedule, budget, and quality in the Southeast.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in commercial PM, a BS in CM/Engineering, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, and MS Office. Vehicle allowance and bonus structure are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, contracts, and construction docs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Partner with field leadership to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Participate in preconstruction activities including estimating and scope reviews.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, forecasts, and cost controls.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, buyouts, and contract administration.
  • Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project reporting.
  • Lead project teams and mentor Assistant PMs and Project Engineers.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Manage closeout activities, punch lists, turnover, and final completion.

Job description

Green Key Resources is partnering with one of Nashville's most established and highly respected General Contractors to identify a Project Manager for their growing team.

This is an opportunity to join a well-capitalized, long-standing builder with a strong backlog of work across commercial, education, hospitality, justice, infrastructure, and civil projects throughout the Southeast. Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Partner closely with field leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Participate in preconstruction efforts including estimating, budgeting, subcontractor solicitation, scope reviews, and constructability analysis.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, forecasts, and cost controls throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, negotiations, buyouts, and contract administration.
  • Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, project documentation, and project reporting.
  • Lead project teams while mentoring and developing Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
  • Coordinate closely with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage project closeout activities, punch lists, turnover documentation, and final completion efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, Procore, and other construction management software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
