Job summary

Hirewell is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground-up and renovation projects across retail, automotive, restaurant, and commercial sectors. You will manage from award through closeout and act as the primary liaison with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has 3–7+ years of PM experience with $2M–$5M projects, is proficient with Procore, and can lead schedules, budgets, and field teams while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects valued between $2M-$5M.
• Procore experience strongly preferred; Microsoft Project scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from award through closeout.
• Obtain permits and ensure compliance with local building requirements.
• Be the primary contact for owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using Procore and MS Project.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, change orders, and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate procurement of subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
• Lead project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Coordinators.
• Monitor construction progress and resolve issues proactively.
• Ensure quality standards through site visits and inspections.
• Maintain project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Promote safe jobsite operations and OSHA compliance.
• Travel periodically to project sites across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects valued between $2M-$5M.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes from preconstruction through closeout.
• Procore experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Project scheduling preferred.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost control experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project priorities.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% as needed.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred but equivalent construction experience will be considered.
