The Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team, responsible for managing assigned projects to ensure safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and compliance with requirements. You will oversee long-term OFTO and Asset Management Energy projects and have opportunities for growth within our expanding industry. This role is flexible to be based anywhere in the UK and involves travel.
Role Accountabilities
- Ensure all project activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Review cost, time, and resource models; oversee project control budgets and baseline schedules.
- Monitor weekly project costs and work progress against budgets.
- Issue invoices promptly, verify with client representatives, and ensure timely cash collection.
- Regularly review the project risk register and notify senior management of concerns.
- Identify and secure variation opportunities, mitigating commercial risks.
- Coordinate with Contracts Manager on variation orders before client submission.
- Manage the project team effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct weekly reviews of project deliverables and progress, alerting management to issues.
- Update procurement plans regularly and support procurement activities.
- Support supply chain management in procurement and supplier selection.
- Ensure all staff and contractors are inducted before project execution.
- Track and report on quality issues and lessons learned.
- Build positive relationships within the team and with clients.
- Aim for timely project closure, including PO reconciliation and final reporting.
- Gather customer feedback and document lessons learned.
Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience
- Project Management Professional qualification (advantageous)
- Experience in contract administration
- Budget management experience
- Experience in the renewables sector, with understanding of UK OFTO regime and offshore wind farm operations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Stakeholder management skills
- Experience in asset management, long-term planning, and operational readiness
