Job summary

GE HealthCare seeks a project manager to deliver non-turnkey and product/equipment projects, overseeing resources and ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage project scope, and apply best practices within a regulated environment.

You will mentor junior staff, contribute to planning, and drive execution while aligning with company policies and quality standards, with emphasis on timely delivery and cost control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree requirement for USA-based roles or equivalent experience.
  • High school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee non-turnkey, product/equipment projects and manage project resources for small–medium initiatives.
  • Provide direct or indirect leadership and staff development within a technical discipline.
  • Apply best practices and analyze how the area integrates with others while monitoring market competition.
  • Make informed decisions using internal and limited external sources beyond own team.
  • Mentor colleagues, lead small projects with manageable risk, and communicate performance expectations.

Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Non-Turnkey Projects or Product/Equipment-Only Projects. Responsible for overseeing the project and direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project resources for small-medium sized projects (size in relation to GE company) that may include equipment-only, suites of products or non-turnkey projects.
  • Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Project Management & Project Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
