Job summary

Novax Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a structural steel business in Houston. You will own projects from budgeting through completion, coordinating with clients, fabrication teams, and site operations to ensure safety, on-time delivery and budget adherence.

You will oversee budgets, schedules, costs, and change orders while reviewing drawings and directing fabrication and erection activities. PMP or Tekla/FabSuite familiarity is desirable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience managing structural steel fabrication and/or erection projects.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, and financials.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and steel drawings.
• Desirable: Tekla/FabSuite experience and PMP certification.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join an established structural steel business in Houston. You'll take ownership of projects from budgeting through to completion, coordinating with clients, fabrication teams, and site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Day to Day

• Manage structural steel projects from start to finish.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, costs, and change orders.
• Coordinate fabrication, detailing, and field erection.
• Review structural, architectural, shop, and erection drawings.
• Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Visit fabrication facilities and active job sites as required.

Requirements
