Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group seeks an experienced Project Manager for an established structural steel business in Houston. You will own projects end-to-end, coordinating with clients, fabrication teams and site operations to ensure safe, on-time, within-budget delivery.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, reviewing drawings, and liaising with clients and subcontractors. Occasional site visits and coordination with internal teams are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience managing structural steel fabrication and/or erection projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and steel drawings.
• Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, and financials.
• PMP certification is desirable.

Day to Day

• Manage structural steel projects from start to finish.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, costs, and change orders.
• Coordinate fabrication, detailing, and field erection.
• Review structural, architectural, shop, and erection drawings.
• Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Visit fabrication facilities and active job sites as required.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience managing structural steel fabrication and/or erection projects.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, and financials.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and steel drawings.
• Tekla/FabSuite experience and PMP certification are desirable.
