POSITION SUMMARY:

Fortune-Johnson General Contractors is seeking an on-site Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is a construction professional with experience in projects exceeding $30M (preferably in multifamily, but not required). The Project Manager is Fortune-Johnson’s main representative at the jobsite, responsible for project administration and serving as the primary contact for clients. The role also involves providing leadership for the project team.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist Estimating in the Preconstruction process.
2. Review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
3. Assist in creating a project-specific logistics and safety plan.
4. Create scopes of work detailing Fortune-Johnson requirements, plans, and specifications.
5. Procure and select subcontractors timely.
6. Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
7. Monitor project schedule, cost, quality, and procedures.
8. Manage project budgets.
9. Analyze and forecast monthly cost reports.
10. Oversee pay requests and billing processes.
11. Manage RFI, submittal, change order processes, and document flow.
12. Partner with the Project Superintendent to ensure project success.
13. Ensure work progresses according to schedule.

Desired Skills And Experience

• 5+ years of experience, preferably in wood-frame multifamily construction on projects over $20M. Experience may vary based on project size, scope, and complexity.
• Leadership skills with the ability to face challenges, solve problems, motivate others, and maintain effective relationships with clients.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing team members.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in PC use, email, internet, Microsoft Office, and Procore software.
• Ability to build positive relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

• Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, planning, and multi-tasking abilities.
