Job summary

Interstate Assembly Systems in Surprise, AZ is seeking a Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations, drive safety, quality and productivity, and guide continuous improvement initiatives.

You will manage production, planning, materials, engineering support, and quality teams, while focusing on customer satisfaction and lean performance. A hands-on leader with strong communication and strategic thinking is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Plant/Production/Operations leadership role.
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and quality systems.
• Experience using financial metrics, budgeting, and operational reporting.
• Proven background implementing Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Strong leadership, team-building and development skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; travel as needed.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience as a Plant Manager, Production Manager, Operations Manager, or similar manufacturing leadership role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, inventory management, and quality systems.
• Experience managing business performance through financial metrics, budgeting, and operational reporting.
• Proven background implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
• Strong leadership, team building, and employee development skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to travel occasionally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Experience within metal fabrication, assembly, industrial manufacturing, truck equipment, or heavy-duty vehicle industries.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification.
