Job summary

Capital Precast seeks an on-site Project Manager in San Marcos, TX to plan, direct, and coordinate all project activities from sale to completion. You will maintain constant communication with Outside Sales, Production, and Drafter teams, ensuring confidentiality and accurate documentation.

The role requires 2 years of PM experience in construction, blueprints knowledge, and strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Titan software and MS Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of successful project management experience (construction industry preferred).
• Familiar with reading blueprints and construction documents.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers in writing and verbally to manage expectations.
• Manages multiple sales orders and coordinates with production, sales, and drafting teams.
• Schedules projects with production to meet customer anticipation dates.
• Monitors progress and proactively resolves obstacles to keep projects on track.
• Manages submittals, approvals, and change orders; documents project details in Titan.
• Visit jobsites and participate in preconstruction meetings as needed.

Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all activities on assigned projects from the point of sale to completion while maintaining constant communication and coordination with Outside Sales Representatives, Production, and Drafter teams. This position will observe the confidentiality of all customer and company information.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Communicates with the customer through written correspondence and verbally
• Responsible for managing multiple sales orders concurrently
• At the time of order, ensure needed information and paperwork are complete and that the scope of work is evident (I.E. - Purchase Order, Job Information Sheet, Tax Exemption Certificate, Contact Information and Delivery Location)
• Schedules the project with production to align with Customer Anticipation Dates
• Monitors the progress and status from the point of sale as the project moves through the process and proactively problem-solves- assists other staff to expedite projects and remove obstacles that may cause the project to fall behind schedule
• Manages the required submittals and approvals with customers as needed
• Communicates with Dispatch on delivery needs of the customer and provides follow-up when required
• Communicates with Production and provides follow-up when required
• Develop knowledge of Capital Precast manufactured products to answer customer/ sales questions regarding product information
• Assist with inventory control
• Visit jobsites and preconstruction meetings as needed
• Clarifies any conflicts with end users, specifiers, engineers, and municipalities
• Ensures proper order set up in Titan (enterprise software system)
• Processes and execute change orders on active projects
• Enters Will Call orders for customer pick up
• Ability and willingness to learn and be trained

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of successful project management experience (construction industry preferred)
• Familiar with reading blueprints preferred
• Familiar with construction documents preferred (blueprints, specification)
