Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee field activities in Texas. You will liaison with Owners, prime contractors, and subcontractors, driving schedules, budgets, and safety compliance on multiple projects.

The role requires a Construction Management degree or equivalent and at least 3 years of PM experience in construction. Proficiency in Excel/Word and bid knowledge are a plus. This on-site position offers growth, competitive pay, and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Must have Construction Management Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management.
  • Regular work attendance is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Bid 2 Win and/or Heavy Bid is preferred.
  • TXDOT traffic control/safety standards knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and maintain liaison between Owner, Prime Contractor, or Subcontractor to facilitate construction activities.
  • Monitor and control construction with the on-site Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Monitor the overall safety of employees on the project.
  • Coordinate materials, trucking, and subcontractor work.
  • Represent the company in project meetings; assist in planning meetings, etc.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company’s interest and maintain client relationships.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Senior Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Physical Requirements
  • Requires the following motions on occasion: bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching, fine motor, and repetitive motion.
  • Requires the following motions frequently: standing, walking, sitting
  • This position will be based out of a division, branch, or project office
  • May require exposure to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
  • Will require exposure to dust and dirt
