Job summary

A large-scale plumbing and HVAC contractor located in Sacramento is seeking an experienced Project Manager to coordinate project communications and oversee construction operations. The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of Project Management experience in HVAC or plumbing, as well as strong communication and time management skills. Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Project Management experience in HVAC and/or plumbing setting required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and ask for help when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project communications with Super/GC.
• Track orders and manage RFIs as needed.
• Review contracts and project billings with field Super.
• Takeoffs – GRDs with field supervision.
• Handle purchasing and monthly bill reviews.
• Issue RFIs and Change Orders as needed.
• Coordinate crane selection and scheduling; liaise with insurance releases.
• Review contracts with Estimating to confirm scope.
• Coordinate 3rd party Air Balance.

We're currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Sacramento, CA! The ideal candidate has HVAC and/or plumbing-specific experience in the construction field as a Project Manager and is ready to start working with a new team right away.

Iron Mechanical is a large-scale plumbing and HVAC subcontractor with projects across the state, focusing primarily on multi-family housing and high rises, but also much, much, more! Our team is dynamic, fun, tight-knit and growing fast!

Job Description:

• Procore Project Management
• Coordinate with Super/GC on Project Communications (e.g., lead times, schedule)
• Track orders
• O&Ms / warranty
• Take offs – GRDs – Work with field Super to complete
• Purchasing
• Project Review for Monthly Billings – Review with field Super
• RFIs as needed
• Change Orders
• Crane Selection & Scheduling – Need insurance release, will also work with Field Super and Service Dispatch
• Review/Sign Contracts – Work with Estimating to review scope
• 3rd party Air Balance

Essential Qualifications:

• Construction knowledge +3-5 years of Project Management experience in a HVAC and/or plumbing setting is required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and ask for help when necessary
• Professionally communicate with clients, vendors etc.
• Willing to learn new software, systems, standards etc.
• Positive, cooperative attitude; wants to see projects succeed
• Experience with any of the following software systems desired but not required: PlanGrid, Bluebeam
