Job summary

AccruePartners in Raleigh seeks a desk-based program manager to oversee multiple O&M infrastructure maintenance and risk-mitigation programs across the Carolinas. You will manage contract vendors, monitor budgets, and review invoices while coordinating with internal stakeholders.

You will build relationships across regions, ensure proactive communication with vendors, and provide regular status on program health, budget, and milestones to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 5–9 years of project/program management experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-region collaboration.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) to analyze data.
  • PMP/CAPM or MBA is a plus; construction-related cert is a plus.

  • Owns program management oversight for multiple O&M infrastructure maintenance programs.
  • Manages contract vendors, budgets, spend, and reviewing invoices.
  • Builds relationships with stakeholders across multiple operating regions, coordinating scope and execution.
  • Supports program execution through desktop reviews and data analysis, packaging work for handoff to regional technical teams.
  • Provides regular status reporting on program health, budget, and spend to leadership.

WHERE THIS POSITION SITS
  • Supports programs spanning multiple operating regions/zones across the Carolinas; primarily desk-based, with coordination handled largely by phone and email.

  • Takes on program management oversight that was previously handled by engineering leads, freeing up technical staff to focus on core engineering work.
  • Keeps operations and maintenance programs on schedule, on budget, and well-coordinated across contract vendors, internal stakeholders, and regional teams.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Owns program management oversight for multiple O&M-related infrastructure maintenance and risk-mitigation programs.
  • Manages contract vendor relationships, including monitoring work plans, budgets, spend, and reviewing and approving invoices.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with stakeholders across multiple operating regions, coordinating scope execution and keeping teams aligned.
  • Supports program execution through desktop reviews and internal data analysis, packaging work for handoff to regional technical teams.
  • Partners with internal technical subject matter experts and works cross-functionally to ensure:
  • The success of both new and ongoing program initiatives
  • Proactive, consistent communication with stakeholders and vendors
  • Alignment and sign-off from key internal stakeholders at each program milestone
  • Provides regular status reporting on program health, budget, and spend to leadership.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 5–9 years of project/program management experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and drive execution through others across multiple locations and teams.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, and the critical thinking needed to interpret complex data.
  • Utility industry experience (e.g., power distribution, transmission, or similar infrastructure) preferred but not required.
  • PMP or CAPM certification, an MBA or related master's degree, or a construction-related certification (e.g., CMII, PE license) is a plus.
