Job summary

Our client, a leading steel contractor, seeks a structurally minded Project Manager to oversee complex structural steel initiatives from handover to completion. You will drive delivery, coordinate with clients, fabricators and site teams, and keep projects on time, within budget and to strict quality standards.

The role requires 4+ years in structural steel project management, a strong grasp of fabrication and erection processes, and a proven track record of delivering projects from award

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in Project Management within structural steel.
• Strong background in structural steel fabrication, erection or steelwork projects.
• Proven experience managing projects from award through to completion.
• Strong understanding of structural steel project delivery, including fabrication and erection.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel projects from contract award through to completion and handover.
• Take overall responsibility for project delivery, quality and commercial performance.
• Develop and manage projects, ensuring key milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate with clients, main contractors, engineers, consultants, suppliers, fabrication teams and site personnel.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project.
• Manage project budgets, costs, variations and commercial performance.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, delivery and erection activities.
• Work closely with fabrication and site teams to ensure projects progress efficiently.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, risks and issues.
• Manage variations, changes and additional works, ensuring these are properly recorded and communicated.
• Attend site and project meetings as required.
• Produce and maintain project documentation, reports and progress updates.
• Ensure all project activities are delivered in accordance with relevant health and safety requirements.
• Manage subcontractors.

Job Title: Steel Project Manager - Structural Steel

Job Overview

I have teamed up with a successful steel contractor who are b on the look out for a structural steel Project Manager. You are responsible for managing structural steel projects from initial handover through to successful completion. You will take ownership of project delivery, coordinating with clients, contractors, engineers, suppliers, fabrication and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

The successful candidate will have strong experience managing structural steel projects and be confident coordinating multiple stakeholders across the full project lifecycle.
