Job summary

Southland Industries, a leading MEP firm, seeks an MEP Project Manager in Portland, OR to oversee design and execution of critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with stakeholders to keep scope and schedule on track.

The ideal candidate brings 5–10 years of experience, strong PM skills, and proficiency in CADD/ERP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as all design engineering aspects.
• Proven ability to manage small teams.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors.
• Strong computer skills, including CADD, ERP and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel.
• Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience.
• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations.

Responsibilities

• May manage a team or serve as a project lead.
• Generally manages smaller projects or a portion of a larger, complex project.
• Develops client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Manages budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for project.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments.
• Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.
