Overview:

The Department of Protective Services is hiring a Program Manager IV to lead physical security capital projects across the Silicon Valley Division. This role supports the Destination 2030 initiative, overseeing the installation and integration of enterprise-level access control and video management systems in new and existing facilities. Travel to regional sites will be required based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage 30–50 concurrent capital projects tied to physical security infrastructure.
• Oversee planning, implementation, and commissioning of Secure 9000 access control and Genetec video systems.
• Interpret floor plans and apply security design standards for optimal placement of cameras, card readers, and related tech.
• Collaborate with facilities project managers, design engineers, and vendors throughout each project lifecycle.
• Translate ROM budget figures into actionable scopes and work plans.
• Monitor project progress using tools like SAP and Projecto, with consistent documentation and reporting.
• Ensure alignment with cybersecurity and network security protocols.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 8 years of project/program management experience, ideally in physical security, construction, or infrastructure deployment.
• Experience with security platforms such as Software House Secure 9000 and Genetec strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of network/cybersecurity as it relates to physical systems.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Must be local to the Silicon Valley region and able to travel to sites as needed.
  
  

UPDATE: Occasional travel to the Sacramento region may be required 1–2 times per quarter, or as business needs dictate. Candidates must be comfortable traveling to various sites throughout the duration of the assignment.
