Job description

Fence OKC is a leading provider of comprehensive security solutions in Oklahoma. Specializing in high-security projects, perimeter security, and security integration for critical infrastructure facilities. We are currently seeking an experienced estimator / project manager with a strong background in construction.

Responsibilities

Project Estimation and Management

• Conduct thorough assessments of security requirements for projects in multiple verticals, focusing on oil and natural gas facilities, solar energy, substations, critical infrastructure, and military projects.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed proposals based on client specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure accurate project scope, design, and budget.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing, availability, and delivery of required materials and services.
• Oversee the procurement process, including negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards in the energy sector.
• Monitor project progress, identify and address any issues or delays, and provide timely updates to upper management.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
• Collaborate closely with the installation team to provide guidance, support, and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members to promote customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Work with our install team and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of projects.

Qualifications

• BS in construction management, construction science, or related. (not required but ideal)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a project manager or estimator in the construction industry.
• Proven ability to accurately estimate project costs and prepare detailed proposals for high-security projects.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools. (ProCore, Construct Connect, SAM.Gov, DODGE, AutoCAD, Google Sheets, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards in the construction field.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
