Job summary

Ilocatum, a national security fence provider, seeks an experienced Project Manager for civil construction and fencing projects in the Cleveland/Akron, OH area. The role requires reviewing plans/specs and coordinating with owners, contractors, vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities include managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, handling RFIs, submittals, change orders and billing, and ensuring schedules and budgets are met while identifying risks and coordinating

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of PM experience in heavy civil construction, fencing, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, drawings and documents.
• Experience reviewing contracts, scope, terms and risks.
• Familiarity with project billing, change orders, RFIs, submittals and closeout docs.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and strong communication.

Position Summary

Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support civil construction and fencing projects in the Cleveland/Akron Ohio area. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, the ability to review plans and specifications, and the communication skills necessary to coordinate with owners, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and scope documents to understand project requirements.
• Prepare, price, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, additional work requests, and project documentation.
• Coordinate project billing, including progress billing, backup documentation, and related owner or contractor requirements.
• Work closely with field leadership, vendors, subcontractors, customers, and internal teams to maintain schedules, budgets, and project expectations.
• Identify potential scope gaps, contract risks, schedule impacts, and cost concerns and communicate them proactively.
• Support procurement, material tracking, project coordination, and job cost review as needed.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of project management experience in heavy civil construction, fencing, or a closely related construction field.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and review construction plans, specifications, drawings, and project documents.
• Experience reviewing contracts and understanding project scope, terms, requirements, and potential risk items.
• Familiarity with project billing, pricing change orders and additional work, RFIs, submittals, closeout documentation, and construction project administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and project deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary range: $100,000 to $110,000, based on experience and qualifications
