Job summary

Mattessich Iron is seeking a project coordinator/manager to plan, coordinate, and execute projects within the approved budget, timeline, and scope. You will monitor progress and present updates to stakeholders, clients, or project teams.

Responsibilities include detailing schedules, reviewing drawings, submitting submittals, coordinating fabrication and field installation, and managing change orders and closeout documentation.

Job description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility of project upon Estimator's receipt of written Notice to Proceed from customer.
• Schedule detailing with in-house or outsourced drafters based on schedule and budgetary requirements. Review drawings before submission to customer.
• Compile submittal drawings, shop drawings, product data, and documentation required on the project and submit to customer for approval. Coordinate revisions as needed.
• Perform quantity takeoff of material and hardware and place on order with Purchaser. Identify and coordinate specialty tooling, equipment, or vendors required if outside the company's normal operating procedures.
• Schedule and coordinate shop fabrication and field installation based on customer's schedule. Identify and negotiate schedule conflicts with customer in advance including long lead items, overtime, and problems with other trades.
• Submit progress payment applications to the Controller each month.
• Organize and process change order requests in a timely manner. Ensure customer writes formal change orders if change events are approved.
• Compile and coordinate closeout documentation including warrantee, final lien release, final pay application, and completion of punch list items. Negotiate disagreements with the customer as needed.
• Report updates for each project during a weekly operations review meeting.
