Job summary

  • Oversee material takeoff/optimization and material purchasing.
  • Coordinate with shop fabricators and field installation personnel.
  • Ensure project closeout documents and warranties are delivered.
  • Go to job sites for meetings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • Reports to:** VP, Senior Estimator, & Senior Project Manager - Large Contracts
  • Purpose of Position:** The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a project, or multiple projects, from the time a project is awarded, throughout the various phases: shop drawing, submittal, purchasing, measuring, scheduling, fabrication, installation, and finally, project completion.
  • Responsible for submittals, which include the following:
  • Submit shop drawings
  • Product literature
  • Samples and color charts for approval
  • Responsible for completion of material takeoff/optimization.
  • Responsible for material purchasing, which includes ordering all necessary materials for a given project.
  • Responsible for attending job site meetings weekly and/or bi-weekly as required by the general contractor.
  • Coordinate with shop fabricators and field installation personnel on projects.
  • Responsible for field measuring, which includes obtaining field measurements as necessary.
  • Coordinate with Drafting to revise shop drawings accordingly.
  • Responsible for attending contract meetings.
  • Responsible for project progress, which includes the following:

  • Preparing and Submitting Change-Orders
  • Responsible for project closeout, which includes providing all necessary closeout documents and warranties.
