Job summary

TYG in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Project Manager skilled in electrical construction to lead complex projects across healthcare, commercial, aviation, residential and data center sectors. You will drive planning, execution and delivery, ensuring safety, schedule adherence and profitability while developing high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in electrical construction.

We’re partnering with a leading national electrical contractor to identify an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team in LA/California. About the Role: Project Manager - Electrical Construction

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination and delivery of large-scale electrical construction projects, overseeing project teams, budgets, schedules, procurement and client relationships from inception through completion. This is an opportunity for an experienced electrical construction professional to take ownership of complex projects across sectors including healthcare, commercial, aviation, residential and data centers. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule and within budget, while driving profitability and developing high-performing teams.

Candidates operating at Senior Project Manager or Project Executive level will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of electrical construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule and within budget.
• Manage project budgets, financial forecasting, cost control and overall profitability.
• Oversee project schedules, procurement strategies, contractual requirements and delivery milestones.
• Review project contracts and scope requirements, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project objectives.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and construction management teams.
• Oversee third-party contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality standards and schedule commitments are met.
• Manage project reviews, identify financial or operational risks, and implement corrective actions where required.
• Oversee invoicing, negotiate change orders and ensure contractual and commercial requirements are fulfilled.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex projects across commercial, healthcare, airport, residential, data center or design-build environments.
• At least 5 years of Project Management experience within electrical construction.
• Previous experience working for an electrical contractor is required.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale, fast-paced construction projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems and electrical construction processes.
• Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, quantity take-offs, change orders and contracts.
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets and delivering profitable project portfolios.
• Previous field experience coordinating with construction management and site teams.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing project teams.
• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management is strongly preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician licence is advantageous but not essential.
• A stable employment history and evidence of consistent project delivery are preferred.
