Responsibilities

• Review project booking packages and confirm scope, requirements, schedule, budget, and risks with Sales and Design.
• Lead start-up and wrap-up meetings with stakeholders.
• Introduce yourself to project stakeholders and define responsibilities, scope, timelines and expectations.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules across multiple priorities.
• Identify change-order opportunities and coordinate with Sales for approvals before work begins.
• Coordinate technician requirements with Operations Supervisor and participate in weekly scheduling meetings.
• Release project materials and coordinate ordering and delivery with Operations Coordinator and Warehouse Supervisor.
• Visit job sites before mobilization to confirm tools and materials and attend required site meetings.
• Prepare billing breakdowns for AIA and monthly billings and assist Accounts Receivable with collections when needed.
• Draft correspondence on time extensions, liability protection, and other contractual matters.
• Monitor job-cost reports, address variances, and document reasons for performance deviations.
• Provide monthly contract status updates to Accounting for WIP calculations.
• Ensure closeout documents are complete and timely, review costs, and resolve transfers before closure.
• Promote safe work practices, quality installations, contract compliance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to join our Alarm Division team. In this role, you'll manage fire alarm installation and fit-out projects from booking through closeout, coordinating customers, contractors, sales, design, operations, accounting, and field personnel to keep projects safe, on schedule, within budget, and compliant with contract requirements. You'll serve as a primary customer contact while protecting project profitability, installation quality, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Be Doing

• Review project booking packages and meet with Sales and Design to confirm scope, requirements, schedule, budget, and potential risks.
• Schedule and lead project start-up and wrap-up meetings when needed, involving Sales, Design, Operations, field leadership, and other stakeholders.
• Introduce yourself to project stakeholders and clearly communicate responsibilities, scope of work, timelines, and expectations.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules while managing multiple active priorities and anticipating project needs.
• Identify, estimate, document, and pursue change-order opportunities in coordination with the responsible sales representative, obtaining agreement before work begins whenever possible.
• Coordinate technician requirements with the Operations Supervisor and participate in weekly operations scheduling meetings to review active jobs.
• Release project materials and coordinate ordering and delivery with the Operations Coordinator and Warehouse Supervisor.
• Visit job sites before mobilization when Oliver installation labor is used, confirm tools and materials are ready, and attend required job-site meetings throughout the project.
• Prepare timely billing breakdowns for AIA and monthly billings, communicate billing information to the Operations Coordinator, and assist Accounts Receivable with collections when needed.
• Draft correspondence regarding time extensions, liability protection, and other key contractual matters.
• Monitor job-cost reports, identify variances from estimate, and take corrective action or document the reason for favorable performance.
• Provide monthly contract status updates to Accounting for work-in-progress calculations.
• Ensure technician closeout documents are complete and timely, coordinate final closeout documentation, review costs, and resolve required cost transfers before project closure.
• Promote safe work practices, quality installation, contract compliance, project profitability, and complete customer satisfaction.
