Position Summary

We're seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician – Programmer to join our Fire Alarm team. In this role, you'll be responsible for programming, commissioning, servicing, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems while ensuring high-quality work, customer satisfaction, and compliance with applicable fire alarm codes and standards.

Company vehicle provided. Training may be available for entry-level candidates looking to grow into a lead technician role over time.

What You'll Be Doing

• Program fire alarm systems according to specifications and design requirements while meeting NFPA 72 code requirements
• Perform service work on fire alarm systems, including device replacement, wiring repairs, circuit troubleshooting, and related repairs
• Conduct NFPA 72 inspection and testing of fire alarm systems on a scheduled basis
• Complete required inspection, service, and repair documentation accurately and on time
• Respond to service calls and perform repair work on existing fire alarm systems
• Participate in the on-call schedule for after-hours service needs
• Represent Oliver professionally with customers and help build strong customer relationships
• Participate in education and training classes to continue building technical knowledge and skills

QualificationsWhat We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license
• Computer literacy and ability to complete required documentation accurately
• Ability to read and follow project specifications, system designs, and code requirements
• Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Availability to participate in an after-hours on-call schedule

Preferred

• Experience with fire alarm systems, including programming, commissioning, service, repair, inspection, and testing
• Knowledge of panel programming software; Notifier programming experience preferred
• Knowledge of installation methods, materials, fire and building codes, and design standards
• Experience completing NFPA 72 inspection/testing documentation
• Entry-level candidates will also be considered; training may be provided to support growth into a lead technician role over time
