Job summary

Allied Staff Augmentation Partners, Inc. ( ASAP, Inc.) seeks experienced Nuclear Project Managers to support a variety of projects within a nuclear power plant environment.

These roles manage the full lifecycle of projects, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, and implementation—not just field execution. Projects span multiple disciplines and involve critical upgrades, modifications, and major capital improvements in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • 5–15+ years of project management experience, preferably in nuclear power or highly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience managing full-scope projects, including design and engineering phases.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear plant operations, systems, and modification processes.
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex, multi-discipline projects.
  • Experience working with engineering teams, field crews, and OEM vendors.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from initiation through closeout, including scope development, design coordination, execution, and final delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, maintenance, operations, vendors, and contractors.
  • Coordinate and oversee design phase activities, ensuring alignment with plant requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Interface with OEMs, engineering firms, and vendors to support equipment upgrades and system modifications.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and budget.
  • Ensure all work is executed in compliance with NRC regulations, plant procedures, and safety standards.
  • Provide regular status updates and reporting to stakeholders and plant leadership.
  • Support outage planning and execution as required for project implementation.

Job description

We are seeking experienced Nuclear Project Managers to support a variety of projects within a nuclear power plant environment. These roles will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of projects, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, and implementation—not just field execution.

Projects will span multiple disciplines, offering the opportunity to support critical plant upgrades, modifications, and major capital improvements in a highly regulated environment.

Project Types

Project Managers may support one or more of the following:

  • Mechanical Projects
  • Mechanical / Civil Projects
  • Electrical Projects
  • Digital / Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Projects
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from initiation through closeout, including scope development, design coordination, execution, and final delivery.

Preferred Experience
  • Nuclear project management experience within:
  • Mechanical or Mechanical/Civil systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Experience with OEM-driven projects, including:
  • Steam dryer replacements
  • Candidates with turbine/generator replacement experience outside of nuclear may also be considered.
  • Onsite at nuclear facility
  • May require support during outages and critical project windows
  • Collaborative, safety-focused, and highly regulated environment
