Job summary

Allied Staff Augmentation Partners seeks an experienced Nuclear Project Manager to lead full-scope projects in a nuclear power plant setting. You will oversee design, engineering, procurement, construction and implementation, ensuring compliance with NRC rules and plant procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, developing schedules and budgets, managing risks, and reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5–15+ years in project management, preferably in nuclear power or highly regulated industries.
• Experience managing full-scope projects, including design and engineering phases.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initiation through closeout, including scope development, design coordination, execution, and final delivery.
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, maintenance, operations, vendors, and contractors.
• Coordinate and oversee design phase activities, ensuring alignment with plant requirements and regulatory standards.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Interface with OEMs, engineering firms, and vendors to support equipment upgrades and system modifications.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and budget.
• Ensure all work is executed in compliance with NRC regulations, plant procedures, and safety standards.
• Provide regular status updates and reporting to stakeholders and plant leadership.
• Support outage planning and execution as required for project implementation.

Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced Nuclear Project Managers to support a variety of projects within a nuclear power plant environment. These roles will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of projects, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, and implementation- not just field execution.

Projects will span multiple disciplines, offering the opportunity to support critical plant upgrades, modifications, and major capital improvements in a highly regulated environment.

Project Types:

Project Managers may support one or more of the following:

• Mechanical Projects.
• Mechanical / Civil Projects.
• Electrical Projects.
• Digital / Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Projects.
• OEM Projects (e.g., turbine generator replacements, steam dryer replacements).

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated experience managing full-scope projects, including design and engineering phases.
• Strong understanding of nuclear plant operations, systems, and modification processes.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex, multi-discipline projects.
• Experience working with engineering teams, field crews, and OEM vendors.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Nuclear project management experience within:
  • Mechanical or Mechanical/Civil systems.
  • Electrical systems.
  • Digital / I&C upgrades.
• Experience with OEM-driven projects, including:
  • Turbine generator replacements.
  • Steam dryer replacements.
  • Refuel floor work.
• Candidates with turbine/generator replacement experience outside of nuclear may also be considered.

Work Environment:

• Onsite at nuclear facility.
• May require support during outages and critical project windows.
