Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proven ability to lead people, manage projects, and maintain strong work ethics.
• Valid driver's license with a relatively clean motor vehicle report.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability to work 40–60 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall project management, including scheduling, document control, and submittal processing.
• Develop project scopes, write specifications, perform estimating and budgeting, and manage client proposals.
• Obtain subcontract proposals, issue subcontracts, and procure jobsite materials.
• Provide regular status updates to clients and maintain thorough project documentation.
• Direct field operations, ensure safety protocols, and coordinate with field crews and superintendents.

Position Overview

The Project Manager at McConnell & Associates is a full-lifecycle role responsible for driving projects from initial business development and estimating through field execution and final completion. This role requires a dynamic professional who excels at building long-term client relationships, solving complex field challenges, and managing profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities

Sales, Estimating & Client Relations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact.
• Provide tailored engineering and construction solutions to solve pavement and facility challenges.
• Develop project scopes, write technical specifications, conduct pre-construction site visits, and perform precise estimating and budgeting.
• Follow up on proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales.

Project Execution & Management

• Lead overall project management, including project scheduling, document management, and material submittal processing.
• Obtain subcontract proposals, issue subcontracts, and procure jobsite materials.
• Provide regular project status updates to clients and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Field Operations & Safety

• Direct field operations, including field staking and site layout coordination as needed.
• Enforce strict company safety practices and protocols across all job sites.
• Collaborate closely with field crews and superintendents to ensure high quality, production, and cost control.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience & Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead people, manage projects, and maintain strong work ethics.
• Licensing & Driving Record: Valid driver's license required. Relatively clean motor vehicle report (applicants with a drug or alcohol driving offense in the last three years will not be considered; other violations evaluated per insurance standards).
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Availability: Ability to work 40-60 hours per week.
