• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead people, manage projects, and maintain strong work ethics.
• Valid driver’s license with a relatively clean motor vehicle report.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work 40–60 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact.
• Provide tailored engineering and construction solutions to solve pavement and facility challenges.
• Develop project scopes, write technical specifications, conduct pre-construction site visits, and perform precise estimating and budgeting.
• Follow up on proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales.
• Lead overall project management, including scheduling, document management, and material submittal processing.
• Obtain subcontract proposals, issue subcontracts, and procure jobsite materials.
• Provide regular project status updates to clients and maintain project documentation.
• Direct field operations, including field staking and site layout coordination, and enforce safety practices.

Position Overview

The Project Manager at McConnell & Associates is a full-lifecycle role responsible for driving projects from initial business development and estimating through field execution and final completion. This role requires a dynamic professional who excels at building long-term client relationships, solving complex field challenges, and managing profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact.

Provide tailored engineering and construction solutions to solve pavement and facility challenges.

Develop project scopes, write technical specifications, conduct pre-construction site visits, and perform precise estimating and budgeting.

Follow up on proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales.

Project Execution & Management

Lead overall project management, including project scheduling, document management, and material submittal processing.

Obtain subcontract proposals, issue subcontracts, and procure jobsite materials.

Provide regular project status updates to clients and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Field Operations & Safety

Direct field operations, including field staking and site layout coordination as needed.

Enforce strict company safety practices and protocols across all job sites.

Collaborate closely with field crews and superintendents to ensure high quality, production, and cost control.

Skills & Qualifications

Education: Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience & Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead people, manage projects, and maintain strong work ethics.

Licensing & Driving Record: Valid driver’s license required. Relatively clean motor vehicle report (applicants with a drug or alcohol driving offense in the last three years will not be considered; other violations evaluated per insurance standards).

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills

Availability: Ability to work 40–60 hours per week.
