Job summary

Tecta America East LLC – Jessup location is seeking a Commercial Roofing Project Manager to coordinate administrative and field production efforts for multiple concurrent projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. You will oversee schedules, budgets, quality, and customer service, ensuring safety and contract compliance across sites.

The role requires five years of roofing/construction PM experience, leadership, and proficiency with MS Office; travel to job sites will be necessary there.

Qualifications

• Strong professional leadership skills and sense of urgency, organization and detail.
• Minimum of five years in commercial roofing or general construction project management.
• Critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, attention to detail, multi-tasking, follow-through, priority setting.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to convey complex technical information clearly in writing and verbally.
• Pre-employment background check, drug test, and E-Verify required.
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds and visit job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of multiple commercial roofing projects running concurrently.
• Provide direction over construction schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration and quality control.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, subcontracts, AIA, and other documents.
• Resolve complex construction-related issues, disputes and disagreements.
• Review project status relative to scheduling and cost controls.
• Review and verify applications for payment and manage fiscal aspects of projects.
• Conduct periodic site visits to monitor progress, schedule, and compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and customers to complete projects on time.
• Monitor budget information, expenditures, variances, and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with General Contractors, vendors, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely completion.

We are seeking a Commercial Roofing Project Manager for our Jessup, MD location.

The basic function of the Project Manager is to effectively coordinate administrative efforts with the field production efforts. Operationally, the Commercial Roofing Project Manager will be responsible for strategic planning each project daily as well as implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.

Job Functions (includes)

• Manage all aspects of multiple commercial roofing projects running concurrently.
• Provide direction over areas of responsibility including construction schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration and quality control.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, subcontracts, AIA, and other agreements/documents.
• Resolve complex construction-related issues, disputes and disagreements.
• Review status and monitor the project relative to scheduling and cost controls
• Review and verify applications for payment and perform overall fiscal management of multiple construction projects.
• Conduct periodic site visits as required to monitor construction progress, schedule, plan, and specification compliance with contract, construction documents, and requirements
• Track and assure the expeditious review and approval of submittals, shop drawings, the preparation and transmittal of the owner's comments, and assure compliance by contractors and consultants as may be required.
• Financial responsibilities include providing/reviewing budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances between estimated budget and revenue, and implementing corrective actions
• Coordinates with General Contractors, vendors, suppliers, and customers to ensure the projects are completed from start to finish in a timely and efficient manner

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Must have strong professional leadership skills and operate with a strong sense of urgency, organization, and attention to detail in all aspects of project management.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree a plus.
• Minimum of five (5) years of commercial roofing or general construction project management experiencerequired.
• Critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, attention to detail, multi-tasking, follow-through, priority setting, and accomplishing tasks in a timely manner.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to clearly convey information in both verbal and written format, on detailed and complex technical issues.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment Background Check, Drug Test and be E-Verified.
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds and comfortable visiting job sites approximately as necessary, including working at heights without fear.

Salary $90-110K + Bonus (DOE)
