Job summary

Good Shepherd Fence Company is seeking a Project Manager to lead multiple fencing projects from contract handoff to completion. You will coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials while reviewing plans and ensuring safety and on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have ≥3 years of construction project management experience, with a preference for fence-industry familiarity. You will interact with customers, municipalities, and internal teams to drive profitability and high-quality

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of construction project management experience preferred.
  • Fence industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, site plans, permits, surveys, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple construction projects from contract handoff through final completion.
  • Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and schedules.
  • Review contracts, plans, permits, surveys, specifications, and job requirements before construction begins.
  • Conduct pre-construction planning and communicate expectations with field teams.
  • Coordinate with customers, municipalities, HOAs, utility locates (811), vendors, and internal departments.
  • Perform jobsite visits to ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Track project budgets, job costs, change orders, and overall profitability.
  • Solve field challenges quickly while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Ensure materials, equipment, and labor are available when needed.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, job photos, punch lists, and closeout paperwork.
  • Enforce company safety standards and OSHA compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, teammates, and trade partners.

We're looking for a Project Manager who takes ownership, solves problems, communicates exceptionally well, and leads projects from contract to completion. This role is critical to delivering an outstanding customer experience while ensuring every project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do

Qualifications & Skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum three years of construction project management experience preferred.
  • Fence industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, site plans, permits, surveys, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment, and scheduling.
  • Working knowledge of fencing materials, gate systems, access control, construction equipment, and power tools.
  • Ability to determine labor, materials, tools, equipment, and logistics required for successful project execution.
  • Experience coordinating multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and construction management or CRM software.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment, prioritize tasks, and solve problems independently.
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
  • Willingness to perform jobsite visits in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk uneven terrain, climb stairs or ladders when necessary, and occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.

Compensation: $60,000-$85,000+ annually, based on experience, plus performance bonuses, company vehicle, and comprehensive benefits.
