About the Opportunity
We are partnering with an established and growing construction organization in the Indianapolis market that is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who has built a strong foundation in project management and is ready to take the next step in their career.
This individual will play a key role in project operations while working closely with field teams, subcontractors, ownership, and other project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead projects from preconstruction and planning through construction and closeout
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and overall project performance
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, and project resources
- Partner closely with Superintendents and field leadership to maintain project schedules and resolve challenges
- Lead project teams while creating a culture of accountability, communication, and collaboration
- Manage subcontractor relationships, contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Monitor jobsite quality and ensure work meets project specifications and company standards
- Maintain strong communication with clients, ownership, design teams, and other project stakeholders
- Identify potential project risks and proactively develop solutions
- Support jobsite safety initiatives and expectations
- Provide consistent project updates and maintain transparency regarding schedules, budgets, and potential challenges
- Oversee project closeout and ensure a positive client experience from start to finish
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong experience in commercial construction project management
- Previous experience working as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager
- Demonstrated experience leading project teams and managing others
- Experience managing projects across multiple commercial construction sectors
- Experience with recreational/sports facilities and/or office/corporate construction is preferred
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, quality control, and project documentation
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to project challenges
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to visit construction jobsites as required
- Willingness to occasionally travel overnight when necessary
Base Salary: $130,000–$150,000, depending on experience.
