The Opportunity
A well-established specialty contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial drywall, metal framing, insulation, and interior construction projects throughout Central Indiana.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial construction projects from initial turnover through final closeout
- Review contracts, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements
- Coordinate closely with estimators, field leadership, superintendents, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors
- Develop and maintain project budgets, cost projections, schedules, and manpower plans
- Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, material procurement, and project documentation
- Track project costs, labor productivity, billing, collections, and overall financial performance
- Identify potential scope gaps, schedule conflicts, and cost exposures before they become larger project issues
- Participate in project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams
- Support field leadership by ensuring materials, information, manpower, and decisions are available when needed
- Maintain strong client relationships and help position the company for repeat business
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality expectations
Ideal Background
- Previous project management experience within commercial construction
- Experience with drywall, metal framing, ceilings, insulation, painting, interior specialties, or another self-performing specialty trade is strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work
- Strong understanding of project cost control, forecasting, scheduling, change-order management, and billing
- Comfortable managing multiple active projects and competing priorities
- Strong organizational, communication, and client-management skills
- Ability to work effectively with both office and field personnel
- Proficiency with common construction-management and project-documentation platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial but not required with relevant industry experience
