Job summary

Green Key Resources is partnering with a well-established specialty contractor in Indianapolis to hire an experienced Project Manager. You will oversee commercial drywall, metal framing, insulation, and interior construction projects across Central Indiana, from turnover through closeout, and be responsible for project financial performance.

The role requires coordinating with estimators, field leadership, superintendents, GCs, vendors, and subcontractors; building strong client relationships;

Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Experience with drywall, metal framing, ceilings, insulation, or interior finishes.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
  • Strong cost control, forecasting, scheduling, change-order management, and billing.
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and client-management skills.
  • Experience working with office and field personnel.
  • Familiarity with construction-management platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple commercial construction projects from initial turnover through final closeout.
  • Review contracts, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with estimators, field leadership, superintendents, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, cost projections, schedules, and manpower plans.
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, material procurement, and project documentation.
  • Track project costs, labor productivity, billing, collections, and overall financial performance.
  • Identify potential scope gaps, schedule conflicts, and cost exposures before they become larger project issues.
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Support field leadership by ensuring materials, information, manpower, and decisions are available when needed.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and help position the company for repeat business.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality expectations.

Compensation: $85,000-$110,000 base salary (depending on experience)

A well-established specialty contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial drywall, metal framing, insulation, and interior construction projects throughout Central Indiana.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple commercial construction projects from initial turnover through final closeout

Ideal Background
  • Previous project management experience within commercial construction
  • Experience with drywall, metal framing, ceilings, insulation, painting, interior specialties, or another self-performing specialty trade is strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work
  • Strong understanding of project cost control, forecasting, scheduling, change-order management, and billing
  • Comfortable managing multiple active projects and competing priorities
  • Strong organizational, communication, and client-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with both office and field personnel
  • Proficiency with common construction-management and project-documentation platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial but not required with relevant industry experience
