Overview

The Senior Project Manager leads large-scale construction projects from preconstruction to closeout, ensuring budget, schedule, and quality goals are met. This role oversees client relations, contract negotiations, and team performance, while mentoring staff. You will work heavily with the executive team to continue driving growth across Indianapolis as they continue to expand in the Indy region. You will eventually oversee all Indy project operations.

Out client is a rapidly expanding general contractor in the Indianapolis construction market. Over the past year, they have experienced exceptional growth - reaching $225M in revenue, increasing their average project size to $30M, and expanding their team to more than 100 employees. With a strong pipeline secured for the next 5 years, they are well-positioned to maintain their momentum and continue establishing themselves as one of the most reputable general contractors in the state.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Lead large‑scale education and healthcare projects ranging from $20M-$50M+
• Work directly with the leadership team to keep scaling the company in Indy
• Drive overall project strategy, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, owners, architects, engineers, and key stakeholders.
• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to PMs, APMs, and field teams.
• Oversee all project documentation and execution using Procore to ensure quality, safety, and alignment.

Successful Candiate Profile

• 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial or industrial construction project management
• Demonstrated success managing multiple large-scale or technically complex projects
• Proficient in Procore, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and scheduling software
• Strong financial acumen, contract knowledge, and negotiation skills
• Proven leadership, communication, and team development abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and high-level client relationships
