Job summary

METCON is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from pre-construction through final completion. You will lead with strong communication and organizational skills, managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships while upholding quality and safety standards.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in construction management, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of construction project management experience.
  • Experience in commercial construction, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project and Bluebeam.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and estimate multiple construction projects from planning through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Review plans, specifications, and contracts for compliance and issues.
  • Prepare and manage subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
  • Monitor project costs, approve invoices, and track change orders.
  • Conduct weekly OAC meetings with field staff, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents to coordinate field operations and resolve challenges.
  • Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions.
  • Prepare monthly project reports and financial projections for leadership.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation (RFIs, submittals, minutes, closeout).
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee construction projects from pre-construction through final completion. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills who can successfully estimate projects, manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

As a key member of our team, the Construction Project Manager will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, field superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract specifications.

Role Description

Qualifications
  • Strong project management and estimating skills, including experience in commercial construction, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to efficiently manage permits, materials, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with construction codes, safety standards, and quality assurance practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suites, and project management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
